About Koala
Koala is a conveyancing firm in Sheffield city centre that builds its own software. We want buying and selling a home to feel easy, for clients and for the people doing the legal work. Our conveyancers sit next to the people building the platform, so when something slows you down, it gets fixed.
The role
You'll run your own caseload of residential sales, purchases and remortgages from instruction to completion. Case loads are kept sensible, and the platform handles the chasing, the updates and the paperwork, so your time goes on the legal work and on clients.
We're still early, so the job goes beyond fee-earning. You'll help shape our procedures, our compliance framework and the tools themselves as the firm grows.
Who we're looking for
- A qualified lawyer. A Solicitor, a Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) or a Licensed Conveyancer. The title matters less than knowing residential conveyancing well.
- Able to run a file end to end. Freehold and leasehold, sales and purchases, with the judgement to know when something needs a closer look.
- Careful with compliance. You keep every file within regulatory, AML and internal policy.
- Happy without paper. We're fully paperless, and we want you to tell us how the software could work better.
What we offer
- Salary up to £60,000, depending on experience
- 3% employer pension contribution
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with emergency, compassionate and parental leave
- Agile working arrangements
- Westfield health insurance
- Financial support for training and professional development
- Monthly socials, free lunch Fridays, snacks and quality drinks
